Annoying Pittsburgher of the Week

This is such a no brainer.

City Councilman Jim Motznik, welcome to the club. As the first ever “APOW” you are the proud new owner of my undying disrespect.

Why is he annoying?
He won City Council over Anthony Coghill yet he has decided to sue the dude for libel along with his entire campaign committee, and even Tony’s MOTHER because in the campaigning it was alleged that Mr. Motznik helped someone get a free driveway.

Okay. Yes, it may not be true. Yes, it was a slightly low blow. Nevertheless, it is not as if he was accused of a gay love affair while married or of flashing himself on the T. It was pavement and it didn’t matter to the voters anyway.

But Mr. Motznik is pissed to the nth degree and is what the Post-Gazette is calling a “sore winner”. God. Let it go my friend. Get back to work doing whatever it is you do over there in City Council, because God knows it isn’t figuring out a way to scrape together the funds to quit taxing us dry.

Runner up: Rob Rogers for taking TWO WHOLE WEEKS off from the Brewed on Grant comic. You! Get back to work too!

And, what is worse, the driveway that was paved, wrongly, isn’t YET paid for.

Fix the error. Get on with life. PAY THE BILL.

And the thing that is next to being worse, is the way the Diven, Motznik’s political pal and former boss, ran his campaign in the same period against Wayne Fontana. Diven, the new Republican, painted some ugly images of Fontana, the D, who aint that good looking.

I was in that race, by the way.

But, to say “truth in advertising” in one breath — and see what Diven did (as well as Fontana) in the same election period — is bad. Real bad.

I do hope it never happens again. And, I hope none of them get elected again.

Finally, Motznik might be interested in running for the open City Controller spot should Tom F get elected to the bench.

There are many many people that should never get elected again. Interesting points all around from an “insider” per se.
