What they’re really thinking.

It was the best of times; it was the worst of times.

There was joy in the PittGirl house, then there were tears, then there was joy, then there was the attempted slitting of wrists, then there was joy.

Troy DID intercept.
Big Ben is our saviour.
Joey Porter needs to shut the hell up.
The officials suck.

That is all.

Wait, that’s not all. PittGirl called this game to be 21-17 Steelers win. One point off. Damn. I should do that for a living, seeing as Dan Marino, Shannon Sharpe, and Boomer Esiason and the rest of the world called it for the Colts.

Benny said it right: “”Y’all want to come in now?” Roethlisberger said, admonishing the media contingent. “All the non-believers. You want to come in now?”

Now, we have the Immaculate Reception, so what the hell do we call Benny’s heroics? The Terrible Tackle?

I am smiling here in Cleveland. (Yes, Cleveland, you read that right.) My secret shame…ever since I visited Kennywood for the first time last summer I think Pittsburgh is pretty cool and will even go so far as to root for the Steelers as long as the Browns aren’t playing against them :-)

I think that’s why the Steeler Nation is so far spread. Something about the Burgh, and the fans, and the Black and Gold. It is a fun team to be a fan of.

    i LOVE the pictures.

and yes. troy DID intercept. i nearly cried after they turned that call over. it was a crap call.

and as much as you think that joey porter should shut up [i agree for the most part], i’d like to point out that espn actually agrees with him. they said there were way too many bad calls this weekend, including that interception.

As an Indianapolis native (die hard Colts fan)and former Pittsburgh city resident (I paid the silly $10 fee and insane property tax for my tiny South Side row house) I agree that the overturned interception call was crap. How about the no call play when Alan Faneca flinched drawing the Colts def into the neutral zone. How can the ref say No Call? Poorly officiated game. Colts should have won.

I agree with most of what Joey is saying about this game, but him saying that the SuperBowl of 2002 was fixed in the “9/11 year” so that the Patriots could win it, well … shut UP, Joey.
