PittGirl loves Bob-FM

So I haven’t heard one good thing said about Bob-FM 96.9, unless calling it a “bouquet toss and a chicken dance” away from a wedding reception is Anthony’s way of giving it a compliment.

However, I think Bob-FM ROCKS! Know why? Today they played “Sex and Candy” by Marcy Playground! Sex and Candy! You know, “I smell sex and candy here. Who’s that lounging in my chair? Who’s that casting devious stares in my direction, mama this surely is a dream.”

Judge me if you must, but PittGirl loves that song and all the songs I haven’t heard in ages that get played on Bob-FM. Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong or Right Here Right Now by Jesus Jones.

‘Course, I could do without Kokomo (something about Uncle Jesse rocking out on the drums … yeah, no) or Creed (something about a nasty, slimy pseudo-Christian lead singer getting serviced in a trailer with Kid Rock … yeah, no).

But other than that … ROCKS!

Someday I know they’ll play “Strokin'” by Clarence Carter.

I would say that Bob-FM is more of a either you love it or hate it kind of station. There’s really no middle ground that I’ve seen.

It really depends on your idea of a deal-breaker. Some people can’t stand any amount of folk, and therefore hate WYEP. I can’t stand any amount of Creed and/or classic rock, and therefore hate Bob-FM. Although I do admit that brilliant things have been played on that station.
