Deep brain things.

Joey The Mouth Porter is heading to the White House to meet the Prez, along with the rest of the team, and he plans to have a little chit chat with Mr. Bush over some things that Joey feels strongly about.

“Yeah, I got something to say to Bush, I’m going to have a swagger when I walk in there, too,” Porter said, laughing loudly. “I’m looking forward to it. I have something to tell him, too. I don’t like the way things are running right now. I feel like he has to give me some of my money back, so I got something to tell Bush.”

Hmmm. What do you suppose Joey will say to Mr. Bush? What’s on Joey’s mind? If I said the words “taxation without representation” to Joey Porter, do you think he would think I was talking about his sports agent? Do you think Joey has cooked up a perfect solution to the border mess? Do you think that whatever it is he says to Mr. Bush, it will keep Georgie up at night? (“Laura, I just can’t get over what Joey Porter said. He has such a valid point!”)

Granted, he certainly is within his rights to try to give his thoughts to the elected leader. I just hope he can find a way to eloquently express his feelings as this gem:

Porter said. “I feel like we definitely was the best football team.”

I can’t tell you how annoyed I get when people say “we was”.

My prediction, like everyone else, Joey will be ushered into the big room for the big photo op, get two seconds to shake the President’s hand, and then be ushered on his merry way just like everyone else.

A special tip of my cute little ball cap to you if you know where the inspiration for that photo caption quote came from.
