Do you know what today is?
Today is a lot of things. Today is Friday (yay!). Today is sunny (yay!). Today, if you really want to, you can head to the City County Building at noon to have a hot dog and listen to Dan Onorato sing “Take Me out to the Ballgame.”
Today is the day I finally added the frickin’ hilarious Carbolic Smoke Ball to my blogroll.
Today, Bobby O is sitting in the hospital because he came down with a cough yesterday. His Chief of Making Shit Up, Dick Skrinjar, will be his stand-in at the All Star Fan Fest kick off today. Today is the day I become pretty sure that Bobby O is a hypochondriac.
Today I’m pretty sure David Conrad is going to call me… and if he doesn’t I’ve devised a plan to hang out near his loft, wait for him to drive away, and then throw myself in front of his car, thereby forcing him to render aid to me and speak to me. Hopefully I won’t die.
Today is also the one year anniversary of The Burgh Blog.
Now I’m going to sit here in my office overlooking the stadiums, sip my chai, and wait for the massive delivery of congratulatory gifts, cash, and pigeon darts that are likely on their way here.
