Yarone? YZ? The Big Redd?

If I were one to believe everything I read on the Internet, I would believe that this comment to my post asking Yarone Zober to stop saying “redd up” was actually THE Yarone Zober.

Screw it. I totally believe this is THE Yarone Zober:

In New Pittsburgh, past tense of Redd is “Redded.” I will redd up, we redded up, they are redding up. I have a few other words in my vocabulary, but the papers seem to like quoting me when I say redd up. If you have any ideas for other catchphrases that may catch on with the press, please let me know!

Yarone “Big Redd Up” Zober

So there you have it. Our great Deputy Mayor, who has dubbed himself The Big Redd Up, is seeking a new catchphrase that would catch on with the press.

We should be good constituents and give him some ideas. Personally, I think, “We’re gonna clean this shit up” or “Steelers suck” would certainly catch on quickly with the press, but I bet my awesome readers can come up with better catchphrases for The Big Redd than that.

Have at it readers.

I don’t know what the new catchphrase should be – but whatever it is, I do hope someone has the good sense to have it printed on rubber bracelets…

Well, Bucs Suck is certainly passe no? I am all for WE GONNA CLEAN DIS SHIT UP – I mean come on, let’s not disregard the unique Pittsburgh speech patterns shall we?

Who cares? If they’re cleaning up the city I’m all for it; even if they are using city English.
