More mysteries surrounding the Steelers

(AP) PITTSBURGH If the Pittsburgh Steelers are planning to revamp their punt return game on Sunday night in San Diego, Coach Bill Cowher isn’t giving any secrets away.

At his news conference yesterday, Cowher wouldn’t say whether wide receiver Willie Reid will be activated to return punts.

What secrets?! There is no secret to the punt return game.

You tell those bastards, whether you put Reid or Holmes or God help you, you moron Colclough in there, that if he’s going to catch that ball, he damn well better catch that ball and protect that ball like it is his actual baby, and run with that ball at least five inches past the 20 yard line, no less, and then continue holding on to that ball as he is brought to the ground by angry football players.

Billy, would you like me to tell you the secret to the QB game? Throw some damn touchdowns.

I’d be a kickass football coach.

The punting game. See if Troy’s interested. If not, give it to every overexcited special teams gunslinger in alphabetical order, until somebody puts something together.

The quarterback. Hmph. Looks like we have another Bradshaw on our hands, huh? We could do worse.
