The idiot’s guide to the bloody obvious

Have you all voted yet in the PG’s comics survey?

There are only four comics that are capable of making me actually chuckle:

1. FoxTrot

2. Zits

3. Dilbert

4. Get Fuzzy.

You know PittGirl is just waiting for the perfect conversation to use the phrase “The Idiot’s Guide to the Bloody Obvious.”

Those that I hate more than Parkway traffic and if I could hunt down the artists and burn their art supplies, I would:

  1. Cathy. Really, I can only watch this chunky chick try on swimsuits so often.
  2. For Better or for Worse: Never funny and watching the characters actually grow old and die is depressing as hell. These are the FUNNY pages, damn it.
  3. Mary Worth: Uptight bitch
  4. Opus: Dumbass penguin. He is a penguin right?
  5. Doonesbury: It’s never funny. Ever.

If you want a comic strip that you can actually laugh at, go to

Doonesbury is more political than comical.

You have to check out The Comics Curmudgeon and The Comics Curmudgeon Community Forum for a different view of the comics. If you love to mock Mary Worth and Rex Morgan MD this is your place.

I would like to say that the ommision of Drabble and Garfield greatly hurts me. Of course there is Charlie Brown. Good Ole’ Chuck. The Great Pumpkin should be on soon. Sweet.

    We’ve seen this, yes?

A few weeks ago the explanation that “Marmaduke is being cock-blocked” almost had Diet Coke shooting out of my nose.

I love all the comics you listed… they’re about the only ones I like to read anymore, i I read them at all. I don’t like the one’s that cause a lot reading or thinking. That doesn’t mean I’m stupid… it just means I want something simple that’s going to make me laugh and feel better about the day ahead of me!

Damn, you’re pretty spot on with your evaluation of the bloody obvious. I don’t know what I was thinking as a little kid with all the other crappy ones I wasted time reading.

There’s a good comic called ‘Jesus and Mo’ about Jesus and Mohammed… Funny stuff, even if some of it might be a litle bit, umm, sacrilegious.

Ummm — you’re dissing Mary Worth? You’re talking about the woman I love, missy….
