How did I miss the fact that the NBA held an exhibition match in the Civic Arena (That’s what I’ll call it forever. Deal with it, Mellon.) last night between the Mavericks and the Cavaliers.

Pittsburgh’s favorite son … or rather, Pittsburgh’s favorite billionaire son … Mark Cuban was here to cheer on his team and to have a chit chat with Benny The Concussion Surviving Wonder Boy. (Why is God so mad at Ben? That’s a topic for another post.)

Mark said:

“One Pittsburgher watching the NBA on ESPN or TNT is worth a million people in China watching the NBA.”

God. I love that man. THAT is some Burgh love he is preachin’.

The Cleveland coach said:

“We’d love to have all you … uh, Pittsburghites? Pittsburghers? … become Cavaliers fans,” Cleveland second-year coach Mike Brown said.

Um? Mr. Brown? The only way on God’s green and blue earth that I will EVER become a fan of any Cleveland team will be if … wait … there is NO WAY on God’s green and blue earth that I will ever be a fan, not even if you acquire Troy Polamalu as a starting forward. I’d be all … Troy sucks!

Yet, Cuban believes Pittsburgh is fertile soil for pro hoops.

I don’t know about that. I’m not really sure how an NBA team would do here. Maybe if they played against the Steelers or something. Heh.

That, actually, is Willie Nelson. Or you already knew that and were being sarcastic. :)

At least he has his nose on. More or less in the center of his face.

    Why does God hate Ben?

You know, we have a professional basketball team in Pittsburgh. The XPlosion. My understanding is that nobody goes. At all. I have to attend a bunch of their games this year for some damn fool reason, but I expect to hear crickets and see tumbleweeds. If that’s the case, it’ll be a pretty good indication even to Mark Cuban to keep walking.

Okay, I give up, I honestly don’t know – how did Mark Cuban make his millions?

Ben is a better point guard than some in the NBA – but don’t give him any ideas.

God isn’t mad at him, Satan is under contract to the Bengals.
