Bad boy, you are on a BIG time out.

Oh, Lukey.

Lukey is standing behind his decision to demote Cmdr. McNeilley even though a court reinstated her to her former post.

Documents revealed in that hearing show that former chief Dom Costa said that Dennis Regan on several occasions ordered him to promote his live in girlfriend’s brother.

Regan denies this.

As far as Mr. Regan’s actions were concerned, the mayor said it would be improper for anyone in the mayor’s office to influence police decisions, but he’s not convinced Mr. Regan did anything wrong.

“There was no rule broken, no law broken,” he said. “If anything, maybe bad judgment was used.”

“I stand here proudly [believing] that I acted appropriately,” Mr. Ravenstahl said.

Dude, you’ve nothing to be “proud” of. What the hell kind of descriptor is that for how you feel about demoting someone?

That’s a frickin’ Dilbert strip if I’ve ever heard one.

Pointy haired boss: I fired his ass. I’m very proud of me today.

Talk about ammo for the other mayoral candidates. Serious ammo. Machine gun ammo.

So, we’re back to regular Pittsburgh politics, this time with only a few warts showing. I guess nothing ever really changes except the players.

You are so right – the game is still the same in Pittsburgh, but some of the players have changed. Makes me sick.

Peduto will sweep that office clean of Regan (yes, Regan’s still influencing our “proud” mayor), Cassidy (the $70,000/year secretary/girlfriend of Regan/sister of the officer involved in the McNeilly matter), Skrinjar (chief of making shit up) and Zober (lapdog of Regan).

If Peduto fails in this fight, our fair City will plunge even further toward the depths of 1940’s Chicago – peel away the Luke mask on those garish billboards and beneath you will find the face of this administration: Denny Regan.

Wow. You tagged the post not only under “Mayor Ravenstahl,” but under “Annoying Burghers.” I just got goosebumps.

People who cite the Reagan/McNeilly scandal as another example of corrosive politics wouldn’t vote for Opie anyway. Opie did himself no favors by defending Reagan, but this dog won’t hunt.

Do you think they can superimpose Peduto’s head on the Redd Up billboards, postcards, website photos, tee shirts, golf tees, frisbees, coffee mugs, umbrellas and hair scrunchies?

You forgot the offical Luke Ravenstahl “Redd Up” thongs (available in white, black, and “naughty” red), along with the special “Redd Up” collector’s set of Ginsu knives. Now how much would you pay? But wait, there’s more!

At the official monthly lebsian meeting last night, it was unanimously agreed that the words “Luke Ravenstahl” and “thong” should never be in the same sentence. Its really in everyone’s best interest.
