I scared.

Yeah, it’s old news. The convention center had a partial collapse a few weeks ago. No big deal. Just you know, you could have died if you were walking underneath. So yesterday a group of people who I no longer trust to keep me safe announced that

… WHILE there was in fact a collapse of the convention center,

… WHILE a beam did in fact slip a few years ago too,

… WHILE no one was in fact told of the previous slippage,

… we all have nothing to worry about. It’s fine! Just some two dozen beams need fixed because they couldn’t handle the cold.

The cold! We don’t live in Florida. This is Pittsburgh. It gets cold here. Why wasn’t this shit built to withstand the cold better?

Between this, the WalMart site that keeps falling off the mountain, the pothole the size of Bill Peduto I hit yesterday, the weekly water main breaks, I’m not going to be one bit surprised if Three PNC Plaza just crumbles to the ground on ribbon cutting day due to the seismic activity brought on by the giant scissors.

You were warned.

It better all be fixed by the Home and Garden Show. I want my Girl Scout cookies, veggie dip samples and another crack at the $4,000 ladder that really does fold into the palm of your hand.

Reminds me of the airport….floor tile popping up and parking garage ceiling falling down. Say, you don’t think the same construction union guys built both do ya ? Nah…..not in Pittsburgh!

I wonder which politician-connected firm fucked up the beam order?
