Sometimes, it’s okay to drive a truck through a wedding tent.

Police say Thomas Gulish became intoxicated and irate after seeing underage drinking happening at his daughter’s wedding reception Saturday in Cherry Township, Butler County. After throwing a chair at his wife and striking her daughter, he then jumped into his pickup truck and drove the vehicle directly into the wedding tent.

Well, in his defense, if my daughter married a loser kid who finds it perfectly appropriate to wear a backwards baseball cap during the wedding, I’d drive a pickup truck through the tent too.

I guess we should give the kid credit for wearing a black cap and not say, a NASCAR cap. Class-ay!

Also, if this isn’t a Jeff Foxworthy joke in the making:

1.  If your wedding pictures were taken with a Polaroid Instamatic …

2.  If the groom wore a backwards ball cap …

3.  If the father of the bride throws a chair and drives a truck through the wedding tent …

You just described my dream wedding… swoon. If I can only get so lucky as to have my future husband in a polo shirt, khaki pants and a baseball hat.

The daughter of his wife… is not his…?

Could his exhibition of anger represent sudden realization of what his life has become? Anyone upset by underage drinking at such an upscale affair must have at least a FEW screws still tight.

Otherwise, he’d have given them there underage drinkers (and his wife’s daughter) some MORE booze to, you know, lubricate the way to a good’ol time =)

When I saw this, I thought…Dude, I totally had an outdoor wedding in Butler County 10 years ago, this could have been me!

I have since moved to Westmoreland County which is as backwards, if not more than Butler County. I then thought, “Poor Ralph Ianotti”? What about old Ross Guidotti? Isn’t he Butler County too?

I currently get a small thrill whenever I spot Mary Berecky as she is the Westmoreland County Chief. Whoo-hoo!

First of all, let me tell you that NASCAR folks are not all rednecks. yes, we are a NASCAR family and I spend several thousand dollars yearly to take my son to races. HMMM. I wonder how many of you can afford that?
This was a beautiful event until my husband had too much to drink. he is not a bad person, just a bad alcoholic..and he has been dry for 10 moths now. Of course, the media got it mostly wrong and blew it out of proportion. There are not even any criminal charges now. He is not drinking and we are the farthest thing from white trash that there is. I live in a 100$ thousand plus home and own my own brand new vehicle. Alcohol can be a deadly combination with anger and when the grooms family brought hard liquor to the wedding and gave it to under age kids (sneaking it) after being asked not to, this was bound to happen. The groom changed his clothes after the ceremony and so what if he wears a bseball cap? Oh you perfect people who are without mistakes…lest you be the first to judge others…..

And one more thing, I noticed that most of the comments to this story were written during the day! Either you are unemployed, works shifts like MacDonalds..haha, or are at work and doing nothing!
Wow, what a bunch of winners you are..the whole lot of you!
(This is for the ones who commecnted on the stiry before knowing what really happened…and for the one who said, let this be your dream wedding…You are not married? What’s wrong with you..oh yea, i saw your blog..we all know why you aren’t married!

    NASCAR lady assumes:

    1) That it is impressive that someone can spend thousands in a year on a passtime.
    2) That if you have free time during the day, you work at McDonalds or are unemployed.
    3) That is is perfectly acceptable to wear a baseball cap to your wedding, provided you don’t put it on until after the ceremony.
    4) That it is impressive to own a house and a car.
    5) That it is the dream of every girl to be married to some charming backward-hatted fellow, and other ambitions are irrelevant.
    6) That correctly reporting the fact of her husband getting drunk and driving a truck into a wedding is “bl[owing] it out of proportion.”
    7) That she is not a redneck.

so based on your facts here…your husband got sober the day after this “show”? Why would you log onto a website and post something about what someone said 10 months ago anyway? I spend thousands per year on real sporting events so I’m not very impressed with the ability to go watch a race! Oh…and for your information I work at Burger King…DING! Fries are done! please go away

I JUST SAW THIS 10 MONTHS LATER…GEE I JUST WANTED TO COMMENT. AND YES, WE HAVE MONEY SO WHAT AND YES, SOMETIMES PEOPLE MAKE BIG MISTAKES…I KNOW THAT EVERYONE WHO COMMENTED ON ME IS PERFECT IN EVERY WAY!
BY THE WAY, IF THE MEDIA DID NOT GET IT WRONG, WHY DID NO CHARGES STAY? THIS WAS A PRIVATE FAMILY EVENT THAT SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN MADE PUBLIC, BUT SINCE IT WAS, I HAVE THE RIGHT TO DEFEND ANYONE I CHOOSE, ESPECIALLY SINCE IT ACTUALLY MADE THINGS BETTER. IMAGINE THAT SOMETHING THIS BAD ENDED UP MAKING A GOOD PERSON AFTER ALL..AND BY THE WAY, THE BRIDE AND GROOM BOTH WORK AND JUST BOUGHT THERI OWN HOME. YEA WE ARE REAL REDNECKS, RIGHT DOWN TO THE NEW VEHICLES AND NICE HOMES….LAUGH IT UP BUDDIES!

I am pretty sure this was an outdoor, informal wedding, so whats the big deal about the ball cap/ Don’t you people have anything to do in your spare time/ Get a job, a girlfriend, boyfriend, pet. etc…
LOSERS! You might be a redneck if….you #$@%^ off in front of your computer because no one else wants you.
    Bye Bye

Hey guys, I cannot believe i stumbled upon this blog. I happen to know these people. He has major issues, but his wife is the kindest person who ever walked the earth. She was so devastated that she almost went off the deep end over this. They had the wedding at their home because they were afraid to have it in a hall because the family of the groom was a little on the wild side. She has this little boy who is disabled and she worships him. Her husband, i think has since auit drinking and i feel bad that the news made such an issue of this. Poor lady had to face everyone she worked with . She loves her husband and wants him to be sober. I am pretty sure she is telling the truth that he is sober now. I have seen them and they look great. They are clean, tidy and not at all dirty people like rednecks. I know the daughter too. Her husband is nice to her even though he wore a ball cap at his wedding, which was informal. He is really good to her. Please be very careful when you make fun of people. you never know when it will be your turn.
just a word of advise. have a good day.
