A female Pittsburgh police officer and her supervisor have filed internal complaints alleging that the officer was passed over for off-duty work guarding the Steelers at a Downtown hotel because of her gender.

The officer who did the recruiting for the assignment said he didn’t want female officers assigned to the Steelers’ floor in the Hilton Pittsburgh hotel because the players “walk down the hallway with no clothes on.”

Oh, Puh-LEEZE!

If this had been a traveling band of nasty, gross, fat, muffin-topped, hairy, sweaty men who had a penchant for roaming the halls of the hotel naked, this chick would have been all, “Whew! Dude, thanks for saving my ass on this one. I owe you … BIG!” and if she HAD been assigned to guard those gross men, she’d have called in sick.

But because it was the Steelers, she’s all pissed.

I’ll tell you why. She wants to see Troysus naked. And I don’t blame her.

That’s right, PittGirl! It gets worse: Now Pittsburgh might have to pay on yet ANOTHER lawsuit related to the activities of private, off-duty police officers — who are paid by a private entity (here, the Steelers). Put simpley, merely because the Steelers want to hire police officers to act as private security guards for their own private needs, the Pittsburgh taxpayer might very well have to come up with big money to pay off another litigant — even though the Pittsburgh taxpayer would not benefit in the least from any such guard services!

C’mon, if you’re going to mention a naked Troysus, you should post a picture of a naked Troysus! Please?

    1) These are extra assignments ($$$) that go to the buddies of the cop who’s doling them out. Lil Mayor Luke had a chance to fix that and he didn’t.

    2) You think the hotel has a special set of male workers to clean the rooms on that floor and the females in Housekeeping lose their gig for the day? (Hint: the answer is “no.”)

    3) On the other hand, seeing Troysus naked: PRICELESS!

Troysus?! Sure, but what about one smokin’ hot Danny Sepulveda? If hotel guard duty produces anything that looks like these photos…

In today’s society there is always someone trying to cash in through litigation. Once again it is the taxpayer who suffers. I would hope that professionals such as police officers and judges would have better moral character than to create frivolous lawsuits. But have you heard of the judge suing the dry cleaners for millions of dollars over lost trousers?
