That’s because no other Major League team has gone so long without a winning season.
If the Pirates raised the price to go watch their sad form of baseball, there would be looting of epic proportions … and pillaging. And maybe even some plundering. Definitely some plundering.
Aye.

“That’s because no other Major League team has gone so long without a winning season.”
it may seem like it — but, this isn’t true. the philadelphia phillies have the record — 16 losing seasons from 1933 to 48.
I’d say our succos have a tremendous chance of equaling that record this season, though.
but, I hope we don’t equal the fact that those same phillies had only ONE winning season (1932) from 1918 to 48!

blah, blah, blah. six years without a price increase… blah, blah, blah.
on the other hand, look at it this way: in the past six years, the value/price ratio has been going waaaaay down.
I say that the 2008 slogan should be: “Pirates — the best minor league team in the N.L. … and fireworks, too!”
