Mike Tomlin says …

From his last press conference:

Steeler Nation is a big source of energy and motivation for me. From the outside looking in, you respect it. I talked about it when I got here. Being a part of it is different. It is. You want to deliver for Steeler Nation. It’s a driving force. It’s one of the reasons I’m energized. It’s awesome.

You’re not so bad yourself!

Would you go for it from the 12 again?

I’d do it again.

Go for two again?

Yes. I throw caution to the wind. I play to win, babe.

Liar.

Oh, come on.  I love Mike Tomlin but you just KNOW IN YOUR HEART that if next season comes down to a 12 yard two-point conversion with time on the clock, Mike Tomlin is sending in The Skeeve, lest he go for it again and fail again and have to deal with shitloads of trash on his lawn … and maybe some dead pigeons, too.

As an aside, if Mike Tomlin in the future should ever find a dead pigeon, or perhaps the head of a dead pigeon on his lawn … totally wasn’t me.

About the rookie class:

Whether they had great success or great failure they’ve got to be men on the rise.

Well said.

It’s a show-me business and we’ll be about the business of showing ourselves.

Yeah, Daniel Sepulveda can definitely get about the business of showing himself.  Bow-chicka-bow.

Of course, if any Steeler is going to show himself, it will be Jeff Reed prancing naked through Market Square wearing nothing but shoes.

Also, don’t worry about writing me to thank me for that burning mental image.  You’re more than welcome.

Mikie Tommie’s alright. I’m with you PG. I believe if he were ever in that situation again he would call on “The Skeeve” because if nothing else is good with Jeff his kick is always good. I like the Mike Tomlin says segments. Maybe he’ll have a few words in the off season to keep us going. Maybe it could replace the Troy “BAM” segments.
