But I find it hypocritical for any tavern in this county to complain about being treated unfairly by the government local or state, when they use this very same government (via the restaurant and tavern association) to beat consumers over the head with arcane laws related take-out beer sales which give them a virtual monopoly as well the way they restrict the sale of liquor licenses to control fair and free competition. Yeah it sucks for them in this case, but they dish it out as well as they take it and as far as I am concerned, they are as about free-market oriented as the port authority. I’ve always thought it was ridiculous that you can’t just hail a cab in Pittsburgh. Think of how great it would be if they were allowed to drive down Carson St. or Penn Ave. or Murray Ave, picking up people as needed. As it is, it’s so inconvenient to take a cab that few people do.
