Give it away, give it away, give it away now.

More fun stuff for you to win!  Because I’m continuing my efforts to buy your love and affection!

Speaking of love and affection, now I have that stupid Nelson song in my head.  You know, the one by the long-haired blond twins? The MALE long-haired blond twins? The one that goes, “I can’t live without your love and affection, I just can’t face another night on my own.”

I’m embarrassed for me.

One lucky commenter will win both of these prizes, together valued at $65.00.

1.  Two tickets to the showing of your choice of the Bach Choir of Pittsburgh’s latest show … WAIT!  Stop with the “Bach?  Zzzzz.” stuff.  Check this out:

It’s Nov. 7th at 8 pm or Nov. 8th at 4 pm at the New Hazlett. Thomas has written a choral score to Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition and there will be artists painting original works while we sing. Art inspires music, music inspires art! We will also be singing some of Tosca and a number from Sunday in the Park with George – both also inspired by/connected with art.

I love the New Hazlett because it’s warm, inviting, and intimate.  I can just imagine how that sound is going to fill that space and how awesome it will be to watch art being created alongside it.  If you’re the winner, you get to choose which show you want to attend. If you’re not the winner, you can get tickets here.

2.  Courtesy of my butler Mike, I’m giving away this shirt from WearPittsburgh:

I ordered this shirt in medium and Mike sent it to me in both a medium and a large, so if you win, you get the large size.  Perfect for you, or perhaps as a Christmas gift for a friend.

So, to win, just leave a comment telling me the most embarrassing song on your iPod (i.e. “Love Theme From Casper the Friendly Ghost”) or the most embarrassing CD in your collection (i.e. Joshua Kadison/Painted Desert Serenade) that you still listen to on occasion.

Again, we’re not judging; we’re talking about you behind your back.

I just told you mine.  They’re up there in parentheses.

Good luck!  I’ll have Random Number Generator pick a winner on Friday morning.

Ok, so I DO have Joshua Kadison’s Painted Desert Serenade on my iPod but the most embarrassing album would be New Kids on the Block’s first album aptly titled “New Kids on the Block.” The song would be either “Wannabe” by the Spice Girls or “Ice Ice Baby” by Vanilla Ice.

I have “Let’s Go To The Mall” by Robin Sparkles. You know, that song from the great “Slapbet” episode of How I Met Your Mother? If you haven’t seen it, I suggest you check it out. Also, I actually PAID FOR IT ON ITUNES. Kill me.

I also have a good amount of Debbie Gibson and Wilson Phillips. If anyone needs me, I’ll be in hiding…

You know, the town of Confluence is somewhere that we’re a wee bit ashamed of. The inbreeding, the organically grown “home remedies”, the fact that the police won’t track down stolen vehicles if they disappear down THAT lane… It’s not something I’d want to wear on a shirt. I’m just saying.

Joking about the stuff that goes on there, or that there’s a town named Confluence?

Cause there is. I used to drive through there on the way to Somerset, back when Somerset had outlets. I used to think, “What a pretty little town,” but now I see there’s a Dark Side, and I shudder to think of what could have happened if I’d ever stopped to ask directions …

Wait … that’s the plot of “Saw VII,” isn’t it?

My ipod holds the following songs, all once played via record by my mother. What’s worse is a regularly listen to them at the gym, and feel somewhat paranoid that someone may hear:

    More than a Woman-Bee Gees
How Deep is Your Love-Bee Gees
    Reunited-Peaches & Herb
    Guilty-Barbara Streisand & Barry Gibb

Lastly, my own addition, that one song, “I smell sex and candy..yeaaaaa..”

    Pretty embarrassing…

No B-way show or movie soundtrack should be permitted to be considered embarrassing. Everything just too connected to a story. Now the story…that could be embarrassing.

    Just sayin’.

Also, coming here after reading another blog is like taking a shower after a workout. I’m clean again.
