Give it away, give it away, give it away now.

More fun stuff for you to win!  Because I’m continuing my efforts to buy your love and affection!

Speaking of love and affection, now I have that stupid Nelson song in my head.  You know, the one by the long-haired blond twins? The MALE long-haired blond twins? The one that goes, “I can’t live without your love and affection, I just can’t face another night on my own.”

I’m embarrassed for me.

One lucky commenter will win both of these prizes, together valued at $65.00.

1.  Two tickets to the showing of your choice of the Bach Choir of Pittsburgh’s latest show … WAIT!  Stop with the “Bach?  Zzzzz.” stuff.  Check this out:

It’s Nov. 7th at 8 pm or Nov. 8th at 4 pm at the New Hazlett. Thomas has written a choral score to Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition and there will be artists painting original works while we sing. Art inspires music, music inspires art! We will also be singing some of Tosca and a number from Sunday in the Park with George – both also inspired by/connected with art.

I love the New Hazlett because it’s warm, inviting, and intimate.  I can just imagine how that sound is going to fill that space and how awesome it will be to watch art being created alongside it.  If you’re the winner, you get to choose which show you want to attend. If you’re not the winner, you can get tickets here.

2.  Courtesy of my butler Mike, I’m giving away this shirt from WearPittsburgh:

I ordered this shirt in medium and Mike sent it to me in both a medium and a large, so if you win, you get the large size.  Perfect for you, or perhaps as a Christmas gift for a friend.

So, to win, just leave a comment telling me the most embarrassing song on your iPod (i.e. “Love Theme From Casper the Friendly Ghost”) or the most embarrassing CD in your collection (i.e. Joshua Kadison/Painted Desert Serenade) that you still listen to on occasion.

Again, we’re not judging; we’re talking about you behind your back.

I just told you mine.  They’re up there in parentheses.

Good luck!  I’ll have Random Number Generator pick a winner on Friday morning.

“Sweet Transvestite” form The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Not embarrassing in and of itself, but having 3 joggers passing you in Frick Park as I’m belting it out at the top of my lungs IS embarrassing lol

My favorite CD (read embarrasing) is my Gregorian Chants. There is nothing more calming that listening to Catholic Priests chant. No I am not Catholic I fell for the music during the Pope’s funeral.

I would have to say that my most embarassing is “It’s raining men” by the weather girls. I downloaded, put it on repeat, and locked my computer when my room mate brought girls back. Great mood setter.

Well, I was going to say the Newsies Soundtrack, but Rachel beat me to it, and she’s pretty cool, so, maybe I’ll go with My FreezeRay from Dr. Horrible’s Blog. And not only do I listen to that song, I belt it out with NPH. At the top of my lungs. My voice teacher would be so proud?

No iPod here (dude, I just don’t WANT one…), but I will admit to Poison “Native Tongue” in my CD collection – that’s the one that has “Something to Believe In” on it, I think. And now I will go to bed with that Nelson song in my head. Thanks.

234 out of 2506 songs on my iPod touch are Christmas tracks. The most noteworthy of the songs is “I Wanna Be Your Santa Claus” by Keith Sweat (don’t ask). These go into rotation starting November 1!

    October 29, 2009 12:02 am

That would probably be “You’re the Best” from The Karate Kid soundtrack. You know, the one played during the end tournament.

If the song itself wasn’t embarrassing enough, I typically listen to it to pump myself up for my karate class. Lame.

  36. Alexis

“All I Want for Christmas is You” – Mariah Carey. The worst part is that I listen to it all year round!

Sheesh…I must be pathetic. My phone/mp3 player (no ipod for me) contains QUITE a few of the “embarrassing” artists. And I’m getting ready to download plenty of Disney songs (thanks guys!) How about grooving to Rupaul’s Supermodel for embarrassing? Or pretending (and failing miserably) that you can hold your own while singing “Somewhere That’s Green” from your Little Shop of Horrors soundtrack. (Feed me!)

Pat Boone’s “In a Metal Mood”. Just imagine- Pat Boone singing Ozzie and “Enter Sandman” backed up by a big band. Clearly solid gold.

I had to prepay when I ordered it at the record store. Guy thought I was joking.

  46. Jimmy Jones
    October 29, 2009 7:51 am

I wonder if I should rethink my views on being embarrassed considering I was going through the comments thinking “Got it, got it, love it, oooh gotta get that one, oh and that one too.”

For me, most embarrassing would be “Pull My Finger” which has 99 tracks of fart sounds including parody songs Yankee Doody Dandee and Beethoven’s 5th Movement. Fun for the whole family!
