Donation info for BRESMA orphanage

Just a note that if you desire, you can send your Haiti support dollars to directly benefit Jamie and Ali’s BRESMA orphanage in Port-au-Prince.

The Prime Minister says that over 100,000 people have died in Port-au-Prince.  I am imagining that Jamie and Ali are going to be seeing an influx of orphaned children soon.

Checks can be made payable to “Keystone” and sent to:

161 Hazelwood Ave.

Pittsburgh, PA  15207

It is important that you write “BRESMA Orphanage” as the memo on the check.

Do what you can, friends, for them and for all of Haiti.

Laura’s photo above was from an article published in Pittsburgh magazine last year – which is currently off-line due to the recent redesign. It would be fantastic if someone could upload it to the site, because everything about it was deeply moving & inspirational.

This is off topic but, I was just killing some time being entertained by old posts and can someone tell me what Ginny means when she writes BLLLLLLL ? It’s the one I can’t figure out. Put a definition in the Lexicon section maybe? Thanks.

Dangit! You evil, manipulating, conniving wench! Why did you have to include a picture of the cute kids!???

Now I’m going to have to send something! My weakness!

Just look at them! Couldn’t you just scoop them up and squeeze them?

I just saw a story on CNN (Anderson Cooper) about these women and the orphanage. Gary Tuchman was there and interviewed the women.

Also, I found this story on below about the orphanage and this blog is mentioned in it:

“A Pittsburgh blogger, Virginia Montanez, is sharing updates on BRESMA on her blog, ‘That’s Church.'”

Do they have a paypal account or a way of digitally donating money to them DIRECTLY and IMMEDIATELY so that they can access it and use it NOW?
