LOL?

Spotted at a local car fix-it shop near my home:

(Picture taken with Saucy who is like 99 in phone years now. She wears Depends and everything.)

Because I don’t think I’ve seen a “Beat em Bucs” sign on a business since maybe 1993, I’m going to assume the owner just ran out of letters or time to include the “LOL” after it. Or maybe the “HAHA” or the “I wish” or the “BAZINGA!”

The PAT buses say “Let’s Go Bucs”. Wonder if they could cut part of their budget deficit by not having them say anything during baseball season?

See, that sign is still up from a few years ago. It originally said “Can’t beat them Buicks” but some kids came along and couldn’t resist a joke.

perhaps he’s an ohio state buckeyes fan.

or, a tampa bay buccaneers fan.

either of those would be a way better explanation.

Before reading your commentary, I assumed you were posting the photo because the sign says “it starts with great parts”. Because that is soooooo true. Mrrow…

I have a Beat ’em Bucs sign hanging in my cubicle at work. Let’s go Bucs!

Got this from a friend at work:

“I never thought a tennis player could win more games in the 5th set at Wimbledon than the Pirates could win in an entire season. Shows you what I know.”

The thing that stuck me is that right above the Beat em Bucs sign is a banner that reads: “It starts with great parts.”

Notice that it does NOT read it starts with great parts that we then in money saving mode cut/trade/find expendable.

Don’t you mean, he didn’t have the letters for,

    “Yes, this is the year!”

Geez Ginny, didn’t think you’d be one of the first jumpin’ off the bandwagon! :)

I think it has parts for Dharma Initiative VW buses, circa 1978.

K: I think it’s a typo – it should read “Let’s Go Bus!”. Some of the buses are so old, they need encouraging.

Also strange reading: If you type “thatschurch” into google, the page comes up, but with the title “Buy Reductil Online – Discounted Online Pharmacy”.

might want to check for viruses on your wordpress (or whatever you’re using) account.

That sign has been there since July 14, 1960. No one today knows what it means.

Ironically an anagram for “Beat em bucs” is “Became Bust”

And just because yer curious, so is “Bat Bee Cums”

I just left piano lessons for my son and as I sat at the red light…there it was, the same sign. Too funny.

You know, there is a gay porn star named Lucas. (Well, there are a few of them but one in particular who has his own company, Lucas Video.)

Suddenly, that montage makes more sense.

“It all starts with great parts.”

“All Lucas products now on sale.” And he does have a, um, replica of his, um, you know…

    and, “Beat ’em Bucs.”

What do they sell there, I wonder?
