Jamie and Ali often send updates on their current work in Haiti as they work to raise the funds to build their own orphanage, while assisting locals in the care of children by providing necessities such as food, medicine, and clothing.
Here is a picture of Jamie taken while she and Ali were visiting a family in Croix de Bouquet, a suburb of Port-au-Prince, and it’s one of the families they help with food, medicine and supplies for the children.
TWINS. So adorable.
They also sent along this picture of a police area in Port-au-Prince where the UN often operates. Notice the canopy.
I also wanted to give you the heads up to save the date of November 13 for their annual Ti Kanaval fundraiser. This was the event that I first met them at just weeks before the earthquake. They’ll return from Haiti for this event where we’ll have lots of awesome things happening, including auctions, raffles, live music, lots of awesome free desserts, and drink specials. Tickets will be VERY affordable and the evening’s emcees will be Mikey and Big Bob from the Kiss Morning Freakshow. All proceeds from the event will benefit Haitian Orphan Rescue, Jamie and Ali’s 501(c)(3).
We’ll announce bands and special guests and auction/raffle items as we finalize them.
If you have anything you’d like to donate as an auction item or raffle item, shoot me an email.
