Steelers giveaway.

UPDATE: chose comment #76 and the winner has been emailed. THANKS!

You know how I feel about Mike Wallace of the Steelers right?

Let’s just look at him again, shall we?

There is so much perfection there, I can’t even stand it. Lips, eyes, nose, teeth. Perfect. God made this one and said, “It is VERY good.”

And I would just like to say, “[fist bump], God.”

Mike Wallace is the chair of this year’s CASA of Allegheny County Tailgate Party happening at Heinz Field and readers, I’m happy to give away a pair of tickets to the event that will feature an autograph session with Mike Wallace and some of his teammates.

The details:

What: CASA  (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Allegheny County, which works to recruit, train and supervise community volunteers who advocate for abused and neglected children, in court and throughout the child welfare system, is hosting this event. It will feature an autograph session, so if you win, be sure to bring something to be autographed. Each attendee is permitted to bring in one item to be autographed. Also, try not to freak … OPEN. BAR. WOO! Two tickets will be awarded to one reader.

When: October 28 at 6:00 p.m.

Where: The Press Dining Room at Heinz Field

Value: This giveaway is valued at $200, but gazing on the perfection that is the face of Mike Wallace makes it priceless.

Bonus: The winner of this giveaway will also receive from People’s Cartel, this awesome shirt:

I gave one of those away last year, and I’m thrilled to do it again. You may have seen Lil’ Wayne or Wiz Khalifa rocking that shirt. I adore that shirt, especially the vintage look of it.

How to enter: Leave a comment! One comment per valid email address. And so you have something to say, tell me who the most famous person you’ve ever gotten an autograph from was.

Me? That would be Jaromir Jagr, of course.

My son would say “Steely McBeam.”

I have failed as a parent.

Good luck! You have until tomorrow, October 6, at 5:00 p.m. to leave a comment at which time will select the winning comment number.

Wow. I only got about halfway through the comments when I realized that…I was only halfway thru the comments! But I did want to say to – I think – #26 & #31: I am SOOO jealous. I adore Jeff Goldblum and would kill to meet him. He seems so interesting & intelligent – and he’s a ‘Burgher. But, to #61: Andy Van Slyke? For real? I recall that he – and his wife – said horrible, negative things about Pgh., notably that Pgh. – with a world-famous symphony & our very own ballet corps – couldn’t hold a cultural candle to St. Louis. Hated him ever since that. I’m not an “autograph person”, either, but I did get Lynn Swann’s autograph for my son – and it REALLY WAS for my son, it’s addressed to him and everything – back when I was waitressing & T.G.I. Friday’s, and he was running for governor. He was lovely, too…very patient & personable.

Most famous person’s autograph…I guess that would be Patrick Stewart who autographed a T-shirt after the play “A Xmas Carol.”

I would have to say Peter O’Toole of “Lawrence of Arabia” and “Lion in Winter” fame. The funny thing is, I was fairly young at the time and hadn’t yet seen those movies. I recognized him from “SuperGirl” fame. :-\

Jerry Vale, at a Pirates game, when they used to win. Okay, so he’s not that famous and really, I had no clue who he was, but my dad told me to go ask for his autograph and I did. And my dad was happy I got it.

I don’t have a lot of autographs. I did have Bob Walk sign my Pirates hat. But The Parrot signed it the same night and I sort of feel like he’s more famous. I mean, he was on Road Rules and was fired for his Facebook comments and stuff.
