A start.

So, yeah, I lost.

While I take an hour to put the words down, why don’t you just watch the video for now?

Be nice. It was scary. I tried to be brave.

You’re a braver girl than I am! Sick kids or not, I wouldn’t have done it!

you’re braver than me as well! i would have just curled up in the fetal position and begun convulsing.

The girl at the start asked you if you had a cellphone but did NOT ask you if you had an electric cattleprod. Sneak one of those in next year and get those evil bunnies right in their buh-hoohoos.

I am very proud of you. I’m not sure I could’ve done that. I went to the Scarehouse two years ago and I was practically glued to my friend’s boyfriend’s back the whole time (and he was laughing at me the whole time, of course).

Mad respect, Ginny, mad respect. I don’t have to “be nice” – I am legitimately in awe that you could go through with it. I’d have just gave up, sat down, and cowered in a corner!

You handled yourself with way more dignity than I could have!! Good work.

Giant bunnies are scary. I am anti-Easter Bunny, so I would have been freaked out with you.

Was that you screaming or the scary things screaming?

Ginny, I would not go through one of those haunted houses WITH PEOPLE. (maybe, MAYBE, for sick kids.)

Thank you not only for doing it for the kids, but for sharing it with us.

Mad props, girl. Woah. You totally did something I could never in a million trillion years ever, ever do. That place just makes me want to pee my pants thinking about it.

The giant easter bunny is just plain creepy. Anyone who’s read Janet Evanovich in the past (specifically book 8) could probably relate.

Woah, didn’t mean to make that face, I meant book 8.

Good job. If you did this on a weekend, I would have come out to support you, but the trip from Baltimore to Pittsburgh is a bit far to make on a work night.

Just remember, the laughs that you are hearing are from your readers laughing WITH you! :-D

I know this is a little rude… but i have to say it. When I saw the freeze-frame picture on the video (before it starts and after it runs)… I thought that was one of scare-ers… not the scare-ee. I was thinking… this video is going to be scary.

I have so much respect for you for doing that! I remember going through the haunted house in South Park in high school and I screamed and dug my nails into one of my friends so much they basically said they would never go with me again!! Great job!

Good job, congratulations on your successful mission. :D
I did notice your eyes were glowing from the start there. Was this a result of the alcohol you consumed or just a warm-up for Halloween itself?

You are so awesome! While we were listening to you go through I started out chuckling a little at the abrupt screams…then it kept going and going and going and we heard you pleading for the way out (but we couldn’t see what was happening) and I started to get upset. I felt really bad. When that creepy dude came in the RIP room right before the winner was announced, I freaking flipped out. I almost started crying because I didn’t want him to come near me AND HE WAS HEADED STRAIGHT FOR ME in my little corner. So, kudos to you…I am so proud of you!

Your bravery is an inspiration – that you’d do something so terrifying for the sake of others. You are at the top of my list for Awesome Burgher!

Yeah. I would have cried. And peed my pants. And my “Where’s out?? Where’s out???” Would have been “GET ME FU*#ING OUT OF HERE.” That you were so…proper…in your panic kills me. I’m still giggling about it!

  31. SpudMom
    October 6, 2010 10:26 pm

@JenEngland – she wasn’t *entirely* proper. Often you’d hear a quiet “oh shit” just before she let out a blood curdling scream.

“Bunnies aren’t just cute like everybody supposes. They got them hoppy legs and twitchy little noses. And what’s with all the carrots? What do they need such good eyesight for anyway? Bunnies. Bunnies. It must be bunnies!”

But [throws gang signs] mad props to ya! And we did end up with a tie…. sort of. Yay for kids!
