Double ticket giveaway!

UPDATE: chose comment numbers 10 and 54. The winners have been emailed!

I have in my virtual hands two sets of two tickets for two separate events, and to make things easy, let’s give them away in one post shall we?

Ticket Giveaway The First

First up! I have two tickets to give away to the Women and Girls Foundation Women in Media event taking place November 6 at the August Wilson Center.

This event will honor local women in media. Sally Wiggin will be there.

I repeat. Sally. Wiggin.

I will be there too.

As well as lots of amazing women who have made a mark for themselves in media here in Pittsburgh. Some of the faces you might see: Patrice King Brown, Elaine Effort, Mary Robb Jackson, Sally Kalson, Debbie Norrell (my pal, by the way), and more. There will be a keynote by Abigail Disney, an awards ceremony, dessert, and a film screening of “Pray the Devil Back to Hell.”

The details!

What: Women in Media gala benefiting the Women and Girls Foundation, a local organization working to achieve equality for women and girls in Southwestern Pennsylvania.

Where: The August Wilson Center in downtown Pittsburgh. I have been there. It is beautiful.

When: November 6, 2010, 7:00 p.m.

Value: Tickets are $75 per person, so this ticket offer is worth $150.

Ticket Giveaway The Second

I am not a beer person. And by that I mean that I cannot tell the difference between one beer and another. I’ve told you this before.

Beer is beer is beer. I don’t care if it’s home brewed or a commercially produced Miller Lite. It’s beer. It tastes like beer.

Raspberries taste like raspberries. Beer tastes like beer.

If it makes you feel better, I can’t tell the difference between regular and decaf coffee.

Raspberries taste like raspberries. Beer tastes like beer. Coffee tastes like coffee.

I’m going to write a book.

But if you love beer, which I do, then you want to go to this year’s BrewFest! Last year there were 1,200 attendees, so it’s a rocking good time.

What: BrewFest sponsored by the Pittsburgh Rugby Football Club! Attendees receive a souvenier glass and light hors doevers. Hors devours. Hors deouvers. Snacks.

Related: Can we please invent an English word for hors deoevers already? Is this not 2010?!

When: Friday, December 3, 2010 at 6 p.m.

Where: Saddle Ridge, Steelhouse and Bar Room in Station Square.

Value: $30 each, so this giveaway is valued at $60.

How to Enter

Leave a comment. One comment per valid email address. So you have something to say, tell me if you could trade places with anyone for one day, and be that person, who would you choose?

Me? Easy. I want to see what it’s like to be Sidney Crosby. To skate that fast. To be that awesome. That adored.

Who is yours?

You have until 5:00 p.m. EST tomorrow, Wednesday, October 20, 2010 to enter at which time I’ll have pick two comment numbers. The first selected will receive the WGF tickets and the second selected will receive the BrewFest tickets.

If your comment goes to spam, I’ll get it out.

Winners will be emailed and their comment #s posted to this post in an update.

Good luck!

I would trade with one of my patients. So for a day they could do whatever they wanted in a healthy body and I could sympathize a bit more with them when I am tired from working so much.
