[exhale]

BOOM goes the thermometer.

Like last year, it’s the last hour that moves that thermometer up the fastest. People frantic to not only get in on this feel-good thing, but also to stop my spastic tweets of OMGIAMRUNNINGINCIRCLESICANTTAKETHIS.

And also my …

Thank you, Pittsburgh! Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Thank you! I am told some big donations came in today, some from as far away as the United Kingdom and several from Mexico!

Burghers helping Burghers.

Remember what I said. “Everyone leans at some point; Everyone provides the shoulder at some point.”

You are my shoulder today.

Now, you notice we’re over $10,000, and that includes the money Chachi put in from Chachi Plays for Kids. I am having him count all the money over $10,000 toward his efforts and that means he is at $2,400 and will be playing video games for 24 hours in support of our city’s sick kids. Every cent raised here and at his site is going to the Mario Lemieux Foundation.

You can still donate if you want to be a part of this. Throw in a few bucks. Two will even do, if you have them.

What’s important is the Adolescent Medicine ward will be filled to the tippy top with games and laptops and more for the sick children that occupy those 24 beds.

Hugs!

Words aren’t enough, but I’ll try by simply saying THANK YOU PITTSBURGH.

That includes all of you outside the area that donated – because you’re all Pittsburghers in my eyes.

    You’re all amazing people.

I needed to wait until my paycheck hit my bank account to make a donation, and I kept thinking ‘I wonder if my little bit will even matter…’ Never did I think the target would have been met over and over by the time I was able to click ‘donate.’
It’s just amazing and I think everyone who has donated is just happy you keep offering us ways to help sick kids. Sometimes, we just need a worker bee to follow, you know?
Thanks for being the worker bee.

I love that you give me a way to keep donating to great Pittsburgh causes even if I don’t live there anymore. Thanks and great work Ginny and Woy!
