Double T-shirt Giveaway!
- August 3, 2011
While I’ve been sick I racked up some giveaways, so let’s get these started with a fantastic t-shirt from Believe Merch and a bonus t-shirt from a reader.
Like all things Gothamburgh these days, it’s Batman themed! The Steel Knight:
Love it.
In addition to that shirt, which you can purchase online or at Kards Unlimited in Shadyside, I’ll also throw in the Jagoffs Make Me Stabby shirt that reader Angry Mongo of Mongowear designed and mailed to me, which you can’t purchase anywhere. His shop has lots of great shirts to check out.
I have two of the Jagoff shirts, so you get one! I’m hoping to get a design for it that is a little less … bloody. But I do love it!
Leave a comment to enter, one comment per valid email address. If your comment goes to spam, stab a jagoff and then don’t worry because I’ll fish them out periodically.
You have until 3 p.m. tomorrow, Thursday, August 4 to enter at which time I’ll let Random.org pick the winning comment number. The winner will receive both shirts and will be able to select the size for the Steel Knight shirt. The jagoff shirt is medium.
So you have something to say, tell me who your favorite action hero or super hero is of all time.
Mine? Easily the Greatest American Hero.
I will never forget the theme song, his hair, or the day he learned to fly.

Batwoman — my husband has actually nicknamed me “Batpoppin” which is (of course) the cross between Batwoman and Mary Poppins. I guess I just kick ass but I’m really really nice when I’m doing it.

Lots of good heroes above. I like Wolverine and Batman but definitely have a “soft spot” for the Ambiguously Gay Duo from SNL.

As a kid I loved Batgirl on the 60’s tv show, she was so hot and could kick a$$.
In comicbooks I was always a fan of Nightwing, he’s the alter ego of the first Robin after he got too old to be Batman’s sidekick.
What ever happened to him?

As a little boy, I was all about Batman, and my brother and I took it very seriously. We’d race home every day after school to see how Batman was going to get out of yet another diabolical trap.
Plus, I always loved the Catwoman episodes. Even in 2nd grade, I wanted to do things with her, of which the ASPCA would not approve.

Totally remember as a wee-tot the local grocery store had a cartoon-clip machine you use to stick a quarter in and watch a minute or so of Mighty Mouse. He was my childhood favorite.
Then I matured into a well-round teenage and dropped Mighty Mouse for the Tick! SPOOOOON!

Definitely has to be Batman. He’s just a (super duper rich) regular guy with all sorts of awesome gadgets. Much cooler than aliens like Superman who can do anything.

I do love Batman, especially ’cause my name’s Robin! But as a little girl I read comic books, especially Superman, and LOVED the BIZARRO SUPERMAN books. Anyone know those? Superman lived in an alternate universe where everything was backwards and bizarre…and he had a really chiseled angular face. So did the Bizarro Lois Lane and everyone else. Weird, but really cool!

Shirts are sick! Favorite Hero has always been Batman, from the cheesey Adam West to the animated series to Christopher Nolan’s epic vision. Always good.
(Although I think I speak for everyone when I say we’d like to forget Joel Schumaker’s ruining of the series that Tim Burton brilliantly started in the 90s)
