The winners have been contacted via email.

If you didn’t win, you can buy a shirt from Fresh Factory here.

You also can enter this new giveaway for a free fine art photography print of Pittsburgh!

What: Karie Lynch, the local photographer who runs the Spackle the Gap shop on Etsy has generously agreed to grant one lucky winner their choice of an 8 x 10 print of any image in her shop. She will then mount it and double-matte it to an 11 x 17 size for framing. That is a gorgeous size for hanging in your home or office, or for putting away to gift this holiday season.

Some of her prints include these (click for embiggens):

Heinz Field, her most popular:

Kennywood, one in a series of three Kennywood prints:

And this one, Pittsburgh Crossroads, which I also love:

OMG. WE GET IT. IT’S ONE WAY!

To Enter: Leave a comment. One comment per valid email address. You have until Friday at noon to enter at which time Random.org will select the winning comment number and I’ll then post the History Center ticket giveaway. So you have something so say, describe briefly or in great detail the most embarrassing picture in existence of yourself.  Mine? You’ve already seen them. ALL OF THEM.

If your comment goes to spam, take a hi-res photo of it and email it to me. No, don’t do that. Chillax. I’ll pull it out of spam for you.

Good luck!

A dance picture from seventh grade – huge glasses, polka dot costume (with hat!), and very, very embarrassing pose. My parents were nice enough to frame it and give it to my husband for a Christmas gift one year, so it now sits on his bedside table. :)

Any picture from my “pyramid” hair cut phase… Super permed hair that was then cut into a triangle shape. Then, to add to the height, I’d totally hold my bangs straight up, spray them with hair spray, then blow dry them… Oh did I mention it was also a cool blonde-orange color because I couldn’t stay away of over-the-counter hair bleach?

    Looked awesome with the grandma glasses I rocked… I’m so glad I’m grown-up now…

Probably all of the pictures my parents took of my brother, sister and I in the bathtub together. Remind me not to do this when I am a parent someday…

    Tall wall of hair. Dreadful.

After I got a huge wad of gum in my bangs I also decided to cut my own hair, the day before school pictures. 1 inch bangs not a good look for anyone. That was also the year I had a butterfly on my glasses and I went to my first first boy/girl birthday party and all the children crowded around me to pop ballons off my sharp litle butterfly.

Moved to Chicago 4 years ago and miss Pittsburgh like crazy!

There is a very unfortunate picture of me where my little cousin is riding me like a horse (I am on all fours) with a ribbon in my mouth as reins. To make matters worse this is during my akward stage before braces and before I decided that a perm and a bowl cut was not a good look for me.

I let my hair grow when I got out of the Navy. There are several pictures of me coming dangerously close to having a mullet.

Short boy hair cut photos from when I was little. Even my 3rd grade teacher mistook me for a boy!

My 6th grade class picture, in which I am wearing glasses that I loved at the time but now realize were MUCH too large for my tiny little face. I also had permed hair that was tucked behind my ears, making them stick out, and I was rocking a baggy striped T-shirt. Awkward.

A close second is a recent picture of me kissing the cut-out picture thing of Max Talbot at the Consol Energy Center. That’ll teach me not to delete any picture that makes many random passersby laugh when they see it being taken.

Easily my 7th grade class photo with my retainer that looks like this big white bar strapping my teeth and keeping them from falling out of my mouth. It took several years to recover from wearing that thing.

I had buck teeth as a kid. So any photo from that time is embarassing.

Any school picture of me from K-5, when my mom still insisted on giving us perms. What a nightmare.

The picture of me as a baby where I look like Chucky. Seriously.

Forgetting it was school picture day coming up, so didn’t get a haircut in oh, say, months, and just grabbing the closest T-shirt in the morning to wear to school that day. Yeah, it turned out classic…

An offical school picture, complete with a side ponytail of crimped hair being held by a large purple scrunchy. I’m also wearing a vest (yes, vest) that my mother made for me with tie-tyed fabric, huge globe earings and I’m smiling so big you can see all three teeth I’m missing at one time.

A few weeks ago, you inspired me to post a handful of old school pictures on facebook….there are some doozies on there, but the picture I’m thinking of I would NEVER show in public. Having gained some extra weight over the years, let’s just say my bra size has increased. One summer, on the clearance rack, I found a cute tank top that had a great scoop neck that really accentuated my newly acquired cleavage and decided it would be perfect to wear to a party that weekend. It looked great in my bedroom mirror. But in person, on camera, and uh, everywhere else? Not so much. If it were any other person, I would have stared at, pointed at and made fun of the grossly underdressed bazooms….and then I would have taken a picture and posted it on the internet, a la people-of-wal-mart.

A picture of me as a chubby kid in a blue tutu with the worst “old lady” perm imaginable!

Pretty much any pictures of me from 6th through 9th grade were awful, but if I had to pick a winner, it would be me all dressed up for my very first dance – hair poofed way out, complete with awkward little curly bangs. *shudders*

2nd grade. Purple sweater with fake pearl necklace, hair that’s 1/2 orange & 1/2 green from swimming, and my eyes are rolled up to the ceiling. Gorgeous.

I know that some drunk photos of me exist but nothing too embarrassing. I’m not sure there are any photos of me that can’t be shown to the public. Though there is one of me wearing sweats doing a shot of Nyquil (I was sick so it was legit) and making one heck of a face. I hate Nyquil.

I would have to go with middle school years. I had a thing for the bowl cut, BUM equip shirts, and some weird pants that looked like MC Hammer… maybe they were called “Jammers” or something?

Worst picture would have to be my fifth grade photo with a growing out pixie that my mother used to give us at the beginning of summer on the backyard picnic table!!!!!! Very very scary!!!!

On the very first page of my senior yearbook there is a collage of seniors, and my “friends” on yearbook staff included a picture of me sleeping on the bus home from a trip to Niagara Falls – glasses, headphones, drooling – awesome.

It would have to be my 8th grade picture. I had a bad burn that summer, so I stayed out of the sun after that and was white as a ghost in that pic. And on top of that, ZITS!! Not my best moment! :-)

my senior prom, South Hills High School, ’74. My date had a gown with peach, cream and chocolate florals in it. So my tux had a cream jacket with tails, my shirt had peach-bordered ruffles, and a peach bowtie, brown tux pants, and then there were the shoes. I’m not making this up. 3.5 inch platforms, with a wood sole/heel, and the shoe part was a cream background with an orange and brown plaid over top. I have the photo to prove this, even though I promised myself I’d never willingly show it to anyone.

The most embarassing picture of me has to be the one where I am singing and you can see my uvula in the picture, the only thing more embarassing would be hearing me sing along with it.

The 3 Kennywood prints may have a spot on my Christmas list – Love!

Most embarrassing photo: 5th grade. Big curls from sleeping in rollers including bangs combined with a rainbow striped shirt and bright purple sweater and my giant glasses.
