Lights, glamour, GIVEAWAY!

Gosh, it’s been forever since I’ve had a giveaway.

Let’s get to it! This is the third year now that I’m giving away a pair of tickets to the Pittsburgh Film Office’s Oscar Gala and I hope to get to this one since I had to miss last year’s event on account of I’m a restaurant widow, which is one step down from single motherhood. Or maybe one step up? Either or.

This is a fun event! You see lots of local celebrities and eat lots of delicious food and bid on lots of fantastic prizes.

What: Two Gala tickets to Highmark Presents Lights! Glamour! Action!

HOLLYWOOD’S BIGGEST NIGHT IS IN PITTSBURGH with the Pittsburgh Film Office’s 12th annual Highmark Presents Lights! Glamour! Action!™  at Heinz Field to support continued growth of the film industry in the region. The Pittsburgh Film Office invites EVERYONE — Pittsburgh residents, local crew and business owners alike — to participate in the fun and learn more about the regional film industry at this very fun and glamorous annual event.

This event brings together Pittsburgh’s industry insiders to make predictions and celebrate the film industry locally – and you can be a part of it!  This year, we have some very hot silent auction items – including a cast and director signed poster from the very own Pittsburgh filmed, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, and a private meet and greet with Bret Michaels, just to name a few!

Where: Heinz Field

When: Sunday, February 26, 2012 at 7:30 p.m.

Value: $250 value ($125 per ticket)

To enter:  Let’s see. We’ve already done the favorite movie question and we’ve done the worst movie you ever saw and we’ve done the question about what movie you’d most like to live out for a day and I’ve asked you what your favorite movie line of all time is and I’ve asked you what movie you’re embarrassed to admit you enjoyed. So, let’s go with this! What’s your favorite movie?

HAH! Kidding. The real question is, “What movie CHARACTER would you most like to have dinner with?”

Would you like to break bread with The Scorpion King? Eat at the zoo with Ace Ventura? A romantic candlelight dinner with a freaky sparkly brooding vampire whose smoldering gaze masks the fact that he secretly wants to suck you dry of your last drop of blood and watch the life leave your eyes?

Me? I’d love to have a meal with Porthos from the 1993 Three Musketeers movie.

What a riot that would be. We would get wasted and sing dirty songs and slap wench ass until our palms blistered.

The word you are searching for is “classy.”

You know the rules! One comment per valid email address and you have until Monday at noon to enter at which time I’ll have draw the winning comment number.  If your comment goes to spam, shoot a pigeon out of anger and then calm the eff down because I will fish those bitches out before I draw the winner.

Good luck! If you don’t win, you can reserve tickets by visiting the Pittsburgh Film Office’s website at

This is not a paid ad. Just want to give one of you a chance to go to this event for free!

If you win the Bret Michaels thing, you should take me with you, n’at.

Gene Hackman – loved him in Mississippi Burning, The Quick and The Dead, Lex Luther in Superman. He has a tough, sarcastic wit about him. Dinner would be interesting.

Oh this one is easy – Lloyd Dobler (Say Anything). Any time I used to say I loved John Cusak, I had a friend that would correct me and tell me that I actually loved Lloyd Dobler. I think both are a little true

I’m not going to lie – it’s a serious toss-up between Willow (from Willow) and Bruce Wayne/Batman from the Nolan trilogy. I freaking LOVE Willow, and Batman is awesomeness. Warwick Davis is super cool, and Christian Bale is… well, Christian Bale.

I would seriously love to win these tickets. I cannot even explain how much.

The T-Rex from Jurassic Park is a character, right? I’d like to have dinner with him.

Not BE dinner, mind you, in fact… I don’t really even want to witness the eating part. Maybe I can just ride around on him while he fails at catching some smaller dinos, and then I’ll slide down his tail and go have a piece of pie by myself.

Peter Parker (aka Spiderman) of the Sam Raimi films. What girl wouldn’t want to take a tour of New York City swinging through the air on webs to get to dinner and then gaze into Tobey Maguire’s amazing blue eyes?!
