My weekend in 47 pictures

… and most of these pictures are cell phone pictures, so don’t be getting on me about my shutter speed, you camera snobs. Click for embiggens.

Saturday I found these packs of gum at Wildcard in Lawrenceville:
046

042

041
I bought this pack for a friend (language) and it’s all wrapped up and I have no photo of it. But it’s the kickest assesst pack of gum in tarnation.

I have no idea what tarnation is.

Daggumit.

Sunday I went to the Pens game and did not hump Le Magnifique, but I did snap a few cell phone pics:

Here lies the Civic Arena, defiant in death. May she rest in peace knowing she’ll not soon be forgotten:

The highlight of the Pens game was finally seeing Zdeno Chara in person, in all his monstrous glory. What a beast that man is. He makes Malkin look like a wee little man:

Here’s another great shot. Look at his knee height compared with his opponent’s. Hilarious.

I can’t help it. He’s a Bruin, and I’m a fan.

I think Chara stick may be longer than some players are tall.

Game’s still played on the ice, though, which is at everyone’s feet. Size didn’t help him much in this most recent outing, eh?

As long as a “dwarf” (all a matter of perspective) like James Neal can put him down, I am fine with it ;)

Watching Kunitz hit Chara yesterday reminded me of the end of Jurassic Park, where the velociraptors attack the T-Rex.

Chara is a scoundrel. I tried to like him when he was new to the NHL (it’s a Slovak thing), but I can’t. I love me some Chris Kunitz for always hitting him and hitting him and…hitting him again, every time we play the Broons.
