Let’s hope the karma gods are paying attention to how much they owe us. And don’t forget to enjoy the greatness that is Sidney, folks, because we shouldn’t need a reminder of how fragile the career can be.
I for one am looking forward to this. He’s been working hard and I’m very sure has been itching to get on the ice again for more than just solo practice or full contact practice. He has been looking so forlorn sitting up in the box by himself at the games.
Apparently I’m more supersitious than Sid for once, because I have this irrational, baseless fear about him returning on the Ides of March. But overall I’m just hoping it’s the last time we have to await his return from anything other than the standard summer offseason.
If it helps, Pensgirl, Caesar was done in on the Ides of March by at least one guy he thought was his friend. And he distrusted the leader of the guys who stabbed him, Cassius (“he thinks too much; such men are dangerous”) but wasn’t careful. No one is going to accuse any of the Rangers of thinking too much, and all Sid’s friends have his back.

Hence the “irrational, baseless” part. ;)
