Since I’ve taken down the thermometer and the donate button for this year’s Make Room for Kids project, I’ve received several emails from Burghers who still want a chance to join in and help the Mario Lemieux Foundation, Microsoft, and Ansys to fully outfit the cancer unit at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and the pediatric unit at Allegheny General Hospital.
Well, I’m here to take your money! Isn’t that generous of me?
Working with Microsoft and the Mario Lemieux Foundation, I’ve created an Amazon Wish List full of the games we want to gift to the two hospitals and games that the hospitals have requested via their own wish list to us.
If you haven’t yet donated, or you already donated and a sack of money fell out of the sky, then please click here to be whisked away to the Make Room for Kids 2012 Wish List. There’s no such thing as giving these sick kids TOO MANY GAMES, and I’d love to give them GAMES OUT THE WAZOO, which is a real unit of measure. Like crap-ton.
When you add a Wish List item to your Amazon cart and go to check out, Amazon will be sure to give you the option to send the item directly to The Lemieux Foundation, and then one day Mario will walk into his office and be all, “WHERE THE HECK DID THIS CRAP-TON OF GAMES COME FROM!?”
And Nancy Angus will say, “From Pittsburghers! Also, Ginny left another note about asking you to marry her. I think she’s stealing stuff from the office.”
Keepin’ it real.
I can’t thank you enough for all of your generosity so far. Like I said, this is the most ambitious year ever for Make Room for Kids and we need all the help we can get.
