Sparkle. Stare. Smolder. Puke.

GIVEAWAY TIME!

Have I succeeded yet in buying your love and … love?

No way in hell am I saying “love and affection” again, because it took me three days to get that damn song out of — oh, CRAP!

Once again, yours truly was selected as a winner in the PG+ (pronounced [puff of air] [gargle ghhh sound] jeh in Klingon), this time for four passes to an advance screening of New Moon on November 18 at the Loew’s in the Waterfront.

So I tweeted that I would be giving away these four passes and as I hit the “update” button on my twitter page, a burst of sparkles entered a living room in Columbus, Ohio where Ohio Sister/Princess Aurora/Terri sat.  And that burst of sparkles told her to check her sister’s twitter page.  About three seconds later, I received a phone call all, “OMG. WHY DIDN’T YOU CALL ME AND GIVE ME THOSE TICKETS?!  ARE YOU STUPID OR SOMETHING?!”

And I said, “Uh. I wasn’t aware you were a Twilight fan.”

Wrong thing to say, because then Princess Aurora was all, “BLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!  I LOVE THOSE BOOKS!  I READ EVERY TWILIGHT BOOK THERE IS IN TWO DAYS AND I LOVE THE MOVIE AND I’M TOTALLY ON TEAM EDWARD EXCEPT WHEN I’M ON TEAM JACOB AND YOU MUST GIVE ME TWO OF THOSE PASSES.  I WILL DRIVE FROM OHIO TO SEE THAT MOVIE EARLY!  SPARKLE SPARKLE SPARKLE!”

I may have imagined that last sentence, but I’m pretty sure she was thinking it.

Then this afternoon, my mother, Pens Fan/Tammy and I headed to Oakmont to visit my cousin’s new house and can I just tell you how much I adore Oakmont? Anyway, on the way to Oakmont, I made the enormous mistake of asking Pens Fan, “So, did Princess Aurora call you and tell you that you have to go to see New Moon with her?”

To which my mother jumped in, ‘What? Wait. What? New Moon? Huh?”

Pens Fan and I exchanged a glance in the rear-view mirror and proceeded to tell my mother that I won the passes, to which my Mother said, “I WILL GO WITH HER!  I KNOW THE WHOLE STORY!  I DON’T KNOW WHICH TEAM I’M ON, BUT I LOVE IT ALL!  SPARKLE SPARKLE SPARKLE!”

Holy crap.  Twilight is a disease inflicting rational women all over the country with a raging desire for a brooding vampire who is creepy and who sparkles in the sunlight.

So, long story short, I’m giving away TWO, not FOUR, but only TWO passes to the early screening of New Moon.  I’m also giving away this shirt from Peoples Cartel and YOU get to choose the size:

To enter, leave a comment telling me the one popular thing that just about everyone has read, seen, bought, etc. but that you haven’t yet succumbed to.  Cell phone? Mp3 Player? Never read a Dr. Seuss book in your life? Never seen Star Wars?

Me? Never once saw the last episode of Seinfeld.

Random Number Generator will pick a winner on Friday.

If you win and you go to the movie, be sure to tell my Mother and Princess Aurora hello.  They’ll be the two ladies in the front row sobbing, “SPARKLE SPARKLE SPARKLE!”
